About This Service Opportunity

One in ten Arizonans experience food insecurity and have limited access to healthy, safe, nutritious foods, or the inability to access these foods in socially acceptable ways. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the situation, and the fallout continues.

Join us as we partner with the Arizona Food Bank Network to address food insecurity in Arizona!

This Day of Action is coupled with the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Foundation for Community & Health Advancement's March 5th Community Collective when April Bradham, President and CEO of the Arizona Food Bank Network, shares insights into who is facing hunger in Arizona and the support available.

Join us as we explore:
  • The fall and rise of food insecurity in Arizona over the past four years
  • How food banks gain and distribute resources
  • The role of food banks as one way, but not the only way, to address food insecurity
