The Tenderloin Community Park Kickoff Tournament is a celebration of community, connection, and the opening of our new Street Soccer mini pitches in the TL. This special day brings together players, families, neighbors, and partners who helped make the park a reality.

The tournament will serve as a neighborhood block party filled with soccer, music, food, and moments of gratitude for everyone who played a role in creating this new space for play and belonging. It is both a grand opening and a community celebration, honoring the teamwork and dedication that brought this project to life.

Join us to celebrate our players, families, and the shared spirit that makes the Tenderloin such a powerful and inspiring community.

- Field and site setup or cleanup
- Free play monitor

Volunteer shifts are about three hours long, and opportunities are available throughout the day. Your time and energy help make this community celebration truly special.
Street Soccer USA
Street Soccer USA builds community and creates opportunity through the game we all love. We use soccer as a tool to connect people, strengthen neighborhoods, and support youth and families in reaching their goals on and off the field.

In San Francisco, our programs have become trusted spaces for belonging and growth. We create free neighborhood based teams in the Tenderloin, Bayview, Mission, and East Cut neighborhoods and run community programming and events at new fields like the Tenderloin Community Park. Our coaches, mentors, and partners work side by side with players and families to create spaces that are consistent, joyful, and rooted in care.

Every field, team, and tournament is part of something bigger. Together we are building a movement to ensure that every young person has a safe place to play, to learn, and to be part of a team that believes in them.
