- Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
- The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
- After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!

Q: What age range is the event for? A: This event is for 30-45 year olds.
Q: What if I don't get a match? A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 male-to-female ratio, but we cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically.
Q: How are the questions chosen? A: Matchbox has a team of relationship science researchers who study what questions are important for predicting long-term compatibility. They’ve written thousands of possible questions over the years. Your host has selected 25-35 of their favorite questions to build your particular questionnaire.
Q: How does The Algorithm work? A: The Matchbox Algorithm is designed to match you with someone you’re compatible with deep down. It’s up to you to see if you click. But if you do, the long term is taken care of. The Algorithm will give you your best match at the event—subject to everyone else also needing to get exactly one match.
Q: What’s behind the research? A: Early research happened through an organization called the Marriage Pact, which runs an event for 100,000s of students at colleges around the country every year. It’s called “the marriage pact” because it was designed to introduce participants to their “optimal marital backup plan”. They may not be Prince Charming, but they will be a practical choice—someone who you could spend a great 50 years with. Matchbox takes the technology and research behind the Marriage Pact and brings it to life for the rest of us.
Q: What is your refund policy? A: There will be NO refunds for this event. If you bought a ticket and are no longer able to come, please contact us ASAP!
