Join us for a virtual conversation about The Cheryl Hauser Effect, a documentary exploring Cheryl Hauser’s experience with dementia and her decision to choose VSED (Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking) as an end-of-life choice.
Wendy Norman, Founder of Known Wishes, will moderate a conversation with Dr. Hope Wechkin, Director of Evergreen Hospice/Palliative Care, and Cheryl’s daughters, Sarah Longacre, Birth Doula, and Wendy Brown, Death Doula and filmmaker. Together, they will share more about Cheryl’s story, the film, and what her experience can teach us about autonomy, choice, and end-of-life care.
The gathering will include clips from the film followed by conversation and an opportunity for questions.
