The Pemaquid Oyster Festival
Join us on September 24th, 2023
Overview

Why?

It's FUN! And the proceeds from the Festival will be donated to the Edward A. Myers Marine Conservation Fund, established in 2003. Money from the fund is used to sponsor marine education and conservation projects throughout the Midcoast area.

Ed Myers was a pioneer in Aquaculture in Maine. In 1975, Myers obtained Maine aquaculture lease No. 1 to raise mussels at Abandoned Farm in South Bristol. He went on to devote his life to sustainable aquaculture and became a mentor to many of those still working on the Damariscotta River today. He gave The Pemaquid Oyster Company guidance as they grew, what have become, award winning oysters. The foundation is a way of giving back to others as he did so well.

Mine Oyster is the perfect laid back setting for enjoying oysters with a view. With an oyster bar on the 1st floor and 3 different water view dining rooms, bars and decks on the second floor, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the oyster celebration. They believe in using what is fresh and in season and do everything they can to make that happen. Our Festival will showcase that. Plenty of room for dancing so stay for the End if the day Music Jam. Why not make Mine Oyster - yours for the day.
