The Latinx House returns to Park City to celebrate the Latinx filmmakers, artists, and creators with selections at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival! From January 20 to 22, we'll be spotlighting our community’s filmmaking achievements through a series of flash talks, panels, receptions, and parties!

Please note that you must be aged 21 years or older to gain entry to The Latinx House at the Festival. All of our events require an RSVP*.

Kick off the first weekend of the 2023 Sundance Film Festival at a party and celebration of culture hosted by The Latinx House and IllumiNative. In addition to the party, guests will enjoy a special performance by musician Raye Zaragoza. This event is sponsored by Pop Culture Collaborative.

A Film Conversation with SORCERY
The Latinx House hosts a conversation with the team behind 2023 World Cinema Dramatic Competition feature SORCERY – with director and screenwriter Christopher Murray, producer Rocío Jadue, and actor Valentina Véliz for a panel moderated by director and Adelante Directors Fellow Nicole Mejia. SORCERY tells the 19th century story of an Indigenous girl named Rosa who sets out for justice for her father by seeking help from the king of a powerful organization of sorcerers.

Climate Storytelling
Join the filmmaking team behind 2023 World Cinema Dramatic Competition feature LA PECERA for a conversation on climate change and community healing. LA PECERA filmmaker Glorimar Marrero Sánchez will join co-founder and President of The Center for Cultural Power Favianna Rodriguez and President and CEO of Hip Hop Caucus Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr.
This panel is supported by the Center for Cultural Power, Women’s Foundation of California, Hip Hop Caucus, and Good Energy.
11:30-1:00 p.m. 
Our Bodies, Our Earth Reception 
Following the climate storytelling panel, The Center for Cultural Power, the Women’s Foundation of California, and The Culture Change Fund will host a reception to honor the 50th anniversary of Roe V. Wade and explore the connections between reproductive and climate justice. This event will include mingling activities and an art giveaway.
3:00-4:00 p.m. 
Google Power Hour & "New Latinx Identities" Panel
Join The Latinx House and the Google Media & Entertainment team for an intimate networking event for the Latinx community during the Sundance Film Festival. This event will be coupled with a conversation on Latinx identities, as well as how to find the audience for your next story, with actor Mishel Prada and Google’s Juanjo Duran.
7:00-2:00 a.m. 
The Latinx House Party*
Celebrate The Latinx House’s core mission of uplifting diverse voices and projects through an evening honoring the Latinx artists, filmmakers, and creators whose films are featured at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. The evening will begin with a 7:00pm MT reception, followed by a special performance by comedian Aida Rodriguez at 9:00pm MT. The Latinx House Party, DJ’d by Ana Calderon, will follow. This event is sponsored by Embeleco Unlimited and Luminate.
