Higher education has been intertwined with societies’ needs for producing talent, and a citizenry that responded to the needs of the times. This talk will examine intuitively what lies at the core of AI advances, its impact on higher education, and the organization of universities at the frontier of new knowledge and skills.

We will also hear from Eliot Boda, who is currently enrolled in Sixth College working at UCSD's IT Services Department. He is focused on AI learning and believes that for “students from under-resourced communities, refugee backgrounds, or financially constrained households” this kind of technology could be “transformative.”
