Ordination to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament for Trenton Ormsbee-Hale
By the Will of the Holy Spirit, Trenton Ormsbee-Hale has been called to serve as Pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church in Weatherford, Texas.
Ordination to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament is a rite within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). It is during this service that the church entrusts the office of word and sacrament to those called and prepared for pastoral ministry.
The service will be presided over by the Rev. Dr. Erik K.J. Gronberg, Bishop of the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana Synod and will include the laying on of hands and prayers for the newly ordained. The Rev. Lesley M. Radius will preach.
Please join us for a reception following the service, where we will celebrate Trenton's ordination and offer our blessings and support for his ministry ahead.
Anyone is welcome to join for the service. Please RSVP so that the congregation has a headcount for planning purposes. Clergy are invited to participate in the procession and laying on of hands. You are invited to vest according to your tradition. The color of the day is red.

Trenton Ormsbee-Hale at Messiah Lutheran Church
Following the ordination, Trenton will be installed as pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church in Weatherford, Texas during the regular Sunday worship service on May 25th at 10:30am. We invite any guests to join the Messiah community that morning in welcoming Trenton and to celebrating this moment in the life of our congregation. An informal reception with light refreshments will follow.
The Rev. Franz Schemmel, Messiah's founding Pastor, will preach and Bishop Erik K.J. Gronberg will preside over the installation.
