Australian boxing superstar Tim Tszyu is returning to the ring at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena this November.

The bout, which was initially scheduled to take place at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, will see Tszyu face Japanese fighter Takeshi Inoue.

Due to the strict COVID-19 protocols in Queensland, the interstate switch was made to Sydney.


This will be Tszyu's third fight in 2021 following two dominant TKO wins over Dennis Hogan and Stevie Spark.

Who is Tim Tszyu?
Tszyu, 27, is 19-0 in his professional career and has risen the super-welterweight ranks to put his name in world title contention.

The son of Russian-Australian former world champion and boxing Hall of Fame member Kostya Tszyu, Tim is looking to follow in his famous father's footsteps.

Now no.1 in the world in the division with the WBO, Tszyu is the current mandatory challenger for Argentine Brian Castano's title.


When is Tszyu vs Inoue?
The event is due to get underway at 6pm AEDT on Wednesday, November 17.


What time is Tim Tszyu fighting?
With five fights on the main pay-per-view portion of the card beginning at 7pm, fans can expect Tszyu and Inoue to make their ring walks around 9:30pm AEDT, depending on how the earlier fights go.

Who is Tim Tszyu fighting?
Tszyu will be taking on 31-year-old Japanese and world no.7 in the super-welterweight division Takeshi Inoue (17-1-1).

A former world-title challenger, Inoue poses a genuine threat to Tszyu, who could have sat out and waited for his shot at Castano.

Inoue is on a four-fight winning streak but has been inactive compared to Tszyu, with his last fight being in November 2020.

The fight will be available to watch live on Foxtel's Main Event on Wednesday evening.

It will cost $59.95 and can be purchased here.

Replays will be 6am, 12pm and 6pm on November 18.

The prelims, which begin at 6pm, will be available live on Fox Sports and Kayo before the pay-per-view portion of the event kicks off at 7pm.
