“Third Time’s a Charm” is a comedy about Susie’s and Charlie’s falling in love at first sight at the age of thirty / forty-something while trying to help Susie’s mother overcome a depression that she has been suffering from since her husband (Susie’s father) passed away.
The subplots show various types of partnerships and marriages, relations between grown-up children and their parents, as well as problems with dieting, weight loss, wellness, plastic surgeries, and, ultimately, the relativity of the concept of beauty.
