Ownership Day brings together the sustainable finance sector - it's a space for pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and other asset owners to discuss barriers to progress, solutions, and the regulatory landscape.
We aim to ensure asset owners and the wider financial services industry, are well versed in the latest developments and share knowledge and experience across the industry to further advance the drive towards a sustainable future.

In the wake of submitng stewardship code consultation responses, our panel take stock on what they’ve learned, what seems obvious and what has become consultation. They will cover the aim of the stewardship code, proposed changes, maintaining a high bar, streamlining the process and the future of the code.

This panel will focus on the collaboration between the UK government, financial regulators, and asset owners to make the UK an attractive destination for green investment, ensuring that funds can confidently channel capital towards investments that contribute to both long-term financial returns and the UK's climate goals. They will discuss government policies and incentives, how the UK can enhance trust among pension funds regarding the long-term viability of green investments and reducing barriers to green investment.

Rachel Reeves has promised the “biggest pension reform in decades” in an attempt to boost economic growth, and part of the reformation includes the development of eight pension “megafunds” by consolidating fragmented local government retirement schemes. What does this mean? Would this really unlock the promised £80bn of investment, and how would the consolidation work? What opportunities would this unlock?
