Kappa Alpha Psi – Upsilon Chapter which was chartered April 25, 1923 on the campus of UCLA, will celebrate 100 years of achievements the week of April 20-25, 2023.
On behalf of the Centennial Committee as Chairman, it is indeed a privilege and special honor to welcome you to our 100th Charter Day Celebration Week of the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
As we convene on the campuses of UCLA, CSUN and CSULA in honor of the chartering of this amazing chapter, let us be reminded of our theme: “Rich Past, Strong Reunion, Bright Future” and acknowledge all the achievements that have been given by the distinguished charter members and alumni of the Upsilon Chapter at the University of California at Los Angeles.
As the only single letter chapter on the West coast, Upsilon Chapter is a part of the long and great African American History of Los Angeles with members ranging from former Los Angeles Mayor and Grand Polemarch Tom Bradley to esteemed attorney Johnnie L. Cochran, Esq. and famed Tennis and Civil Rights Legend Arthur Ashe. The fraternity will be hosting a week of celebration to honor the chapter’s long history of achievements, and I encourage you to enjoy the "Spirit of Fraternity" during the Centennial Charter Day Celebration events. WELCOME!
Sincerely,
Kevin D. Kinsey '81
