About Dr. Istvan Urban
Dr. Urban earned both his DMD and MD degrees from Semmelweis University in Budapest in 1991 and 1996. He completed his oral surgery training at St. Istvan Hospital, followed by an internship in Periodontics at UCLA. After his Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University, he became an assistant professor. Licensed in California, he runs a private practice in Budapest. In 2012, he earned his PhD in Periodontology from the University of Szeged, where he's now an honorary professor.
Dr. Urban is a board member of the Osteology Foundation, has published extensively on bone regeneration and soft tissue reconstruction, and teaches at the University of Michigan and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He authored Vertical and Horizontal Augmentation, available in 12 languages, and the follow-up VERTICAL 2: The NEXT LEVEL.
