COMMUNITY
GET READY TO CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF URBAN EDGE!
Our 50th Anniversary celebration of Community is a momentous occasion that will gather hundreds of incredible community members dedicated to strengthening communities and families. Together, we will celebrate our successes, honor legends over the past five decades, and point toward our vision for the future, which includes a strong pipeline for the development of hundreds of affordable homes, building wealth for low and moderate-income families, amplifying community voices, and elevating vulnerable communities to access opportunity—all while advancing racial equity and justice.
This celebration promises to be a passion-filled, interactive celebration you’ll never forget. You might be accustomed to our annual tented celebration, but this year’s event will be even more special as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our founding in 1974. And that is why we have such an amazing lineup of people going back 50 years to recognize. The event offers an opportunity to network with neighborhood leaders, visionary businesspeople, and dedicated public officials who support our mission. We are excited to celebrate with you and so many who have helped us house thousands of our neighbors and led programs to support resident leadership, affordable housing, and family wealth-building.
Your support has been instrumental in our mission to help families build intergenerational wealth, connect youth to neighborhood services, bridge the digital divide, reduce elder isolation, and build affordable homes. We are deeply grateful for your commitment and believe that together, we can make a lasting impact on our communities and families.
In the upcoming year, we are planning several events, including a Summit on trending topics in housing based on the stories we have learned and the principles of social justice and racial equity. During these events, we plan to celebrate our past and current clients, donors, volunteers, and staff. We hope you can be a part of our year-long celebration.
