2023 Uveitis Fellows Forum presented by the American Uveitis Society
Join us on January 13, 2023
The American Uveitis Society will be having the 2023 Uveitis Fellows Forum on January 13th, 2023. All fellows are welcome if they are training in an AUPO-approved program and all costs for meeting registration, meeting meals, and shared lodging for a two-night stay at the University Guest House at the University of Utah will be covered. In addition, the fellows will be reimbursed for expenses related to round-trip coach airline ticket (purchased more than 30 days in advance) as well as transportation between the airport and the University Guest House in Salt Lake City. Non-AUPO fellows are welcome to attend the meeting but must pay a nominal registration fee and cover their own travel and lodging expenses.

The program is intended to be a stimulating, informative, and interactive meeting focused on the multifaceted challenges inherent in a career in uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases, as well as practical advice in planning their careers as ophthalmologists with subspecialty training, from private practice to academic settings. We would encourage faculty representatives from programs with AUPO approved uveitis fellowships to attend the meeting as one of the draws of the meeting is the interaction with faculty from around the country to discuss any issues that may arise, whether related to clinical problems or career development, in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.

Please note that discounted hotel rooms will be secured at the University Guest House at the University of Utah for program directors and lodging and provided with registration on this site.

If you have any questions regarding the 14th Annual UFF, please contact Stephanie Stephens at Moran Eye Center at [email protected].

Health & Safety:
After many comments from attendees, we have decided to return to our original policy of requiring proof of vaccination for attendees and we highly recommend boosters when medically indicated or recommended. We think that everyone should assess the relative risks for them and their families in attending this live meeting.

We expect that if you are symptomatic prior to the meeting, you would be tested for COVID and if positive, not attend the meeting.

We will provide a complete refund of registration fees to anyone who cancels due to a positive test and proof of positivity should be provided in order to obtain a refund.

The goal of this policy is to provide a safe environment for all who attend.

Masking is REQUIRED while on University of Utah grounds at all times, unless you are eating. Masks will be provided, if needed.

PLEASE NOTE:
Proof of vaccination will be required at time of registration on the morning of the meeting. Please remember to bring your proof of vaccination to the meeting. Thank you!
