The Valero Alamo Bowl has partnered with Bank of Texas and Junior Achievement of South Texas to award two (2) local high school students a $7,500 scholarship to support their continued education! Must be involved in Junior Achievement to be eligable for this scholarship.

The scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, involvement in athletics, the number of varsity sport letters earned and/or extracurricular activities, involvement in Junior Achievement programs, and an evaluation of the completed application. Applicant must be a graduating senior.

Scholarship monies will be sent directly to the recipient's college/university in which they enroll to meet direct college cost (tuition, room, board, books, and fees). All scholarship monies must be applied to the academic school year immediately following high school graduation. Requests for deferrals will not be accepted.

If a recipient accepts an appointment to any Military Service Academy or a full paid scholarship, he/she automatically forfeits the Valero Alamo Bowl Scholarship.

Deadline to apply for the scholarship is November 7, 2025.

All applications will be carefully reviewed by the Valero Alamo Bowl. This application is a different application than our high school student-athlete scholarship.

Two (2) recipients will be chosen and awarded by the Valero Alamo Bowl on November 21, 2025.
