Victoria Trail Care Day
Drop by the south side of the Selkirk Trestle (trail access off Arthur Currie Lane) for a fun-filled day of activities and trail cleanup as we come together to care for the Trail.
Even if you can't stay for the whole day, feel free to stop in and learn more about the Trans Canada Trail and other local trail groups. We'll have information booths and friendly faces to answer all your questions.

A snack break for Trail Care volunteers. Some remarks from Trans Canada Trail, the Capital Regional District and local politicians as we celebrate Trail Care Day and thank our volunteers.

What is the Trail Care activity?
There are two opportunities to volunteer for a Trail Care activity (10:30AM or 12:00 PM). Volunteers will be directed by CRD staff on how to properly remove invasive plant species and collect garbage along the Galloping Goose Regional Trail.

No pre-registration is required. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session start time to check in as a volunteer at the Trail Care booth.

Yes, CRD staff will begin each session with a safety briefing and demonstration on how to properly identify and remove invasive plant species.

What do I need to bring to participate in the Trail Care activity?
You don’t need to bring anything, we will supply all the tools and safety equipment you need for the Trail Care activity. If you prefer, you can bring your own pair of gardening gloves. Remember to bring a water bottle, there will be a refill station on-site.
