We are returning to Nevada County Fairgrounds for the third time to enjoy the wonderful Grass Valley/Nevada City area. Our rally will include all the traditions that make Harp rallies special. Please see the schedule below, but of course, there will be some surprises! Space is limited compared to years past and you are encouraged to sign up by calling (916) 913-9114.

Reservation funds will be collected at the time of registration which secures your site. Funds are refundable up to 90 days before the event (July 1, 2022). After the 90 day deadline passes, no refunds will be issued but you are free to give your site to someone after contacting Scott Leaman at [email protected]

Three Trailers
A rally is always special, and EVERYONE’S trailer is special. I wanted to let you know about three special trailers that are registered for our rally. In 1951 and 1952, Airstream, somewhat on a whim, produced a new trailer – the Airstream Cruisette. It was, and still is, the shortest production trailer Airstream has ever made at 15 feet from tip to tail. The other interesting fact about Cruisettes is only 75 were made – 70 years ago! No one really knows how many Cruisettes are still around. As of right now, we have three Cruisettes registered for our rally. It really is an amazing coincidence!
We are getting ready to welcome all of you back to Grass Valley. The fair just ended, and our event is the next big thing coming to the campground! See you soon and look for updates!

Questions and Some Answers!

  1. Are there sites left? - We have about 6 water and electric sites left. If someone wants to join us, they should call quick!
  2. Can I sell merchandise at the rally? - Yes, you can! You are free to put up tables at any time, especially the day of the open house on Saturday. Someone must want that set of rare wheel bearings from your 1959 Kenskill.
  3. Is there a dump station on site? - Yes, there is! There is a $10.00 fee and access is easy.
  4. How are the bathrooms at the fairgrounds? - We have all been there with the bathroom situation. The bathrooms were upgraded about 5 years ago and have showers and flush toilets. There is a code to get into the bathrooms, so they are not used by the public. I know everyone has a subjective evaluation of bathrooms, but I think they are quite functional and clean.
  5. How do I find out where my site is located? - Just click on the "Campground Map" link below and look up your number. If you are concerned about the site you are assigned, just give me a call at the number below and we will work it out.
  6. How do I find out what we are doing each day? - We posted the agenda on the "Rally Website" link below.
  7. What is our theme for this year? - Our theme is "Fun on the Farm." Bring your overalls and haybales. We are going to have a hoot of a time!
  8. Are the Harps going to be at the rally? - Of course! We have promoted them to social ambassadors and they will be there having fun with the rest of us. If any of us see Joel working on a trailer, we need to tell him to rest and enjoy the propane campfire! We are just helping with the logistics of running the rally.
  9. Are campfires allowed? - Sadly, no. You are allowed to have a propane campfire at the current time. I will update this as time goes on.
  10. How do we find out about activities in Grass Valley/Nevada City? - We will have a talk on Friday morning on the many things to do in the area
  11. If I want to just bring my trailer and not cook, are there enough food choices in the area? - Yes, there are! The area has every food choice imaginable (I'n not kidding). Just ask one of the VTP Crew and we can direct you. Remember, we have coffee, donuts, fruit, and tang (it's a Harp tradition!) on Saturday morning and our potluck on Saturday evening.
  12. I had a site a couple of years ago and never received a refund. Can I get one now? - This year is the first year we are handling the money and booking of sites. Any issue with with this year's sites will be handled through email or by calling the number below. In prior years, each attendee booked their own site thorugh the fairgrounds. Call the Fairgrounds at (530) 273-6217 to see about refunds for prior years.
  13. Am I going to have fun? - While we don't have a fun guarntee, we hope everyone has a good time.
  14. How many nights are included in the rally cost? We only have one cost for three nights. Some were wondering if they told us when they were going to arrive and if that affected the cost. It doesn't - one price for up to three nights!
  15. I forgot my site number! No worries, the VTP team has all the numbers and you will be greeted with a packet of information including your site number.
  16. Is there gravel/lawn to put up an awning? Yes! Each site has gravel or lawn to put up an awning
  17. Is there WiFi? - Well ...there is a password you can put in. Spotty is probably the best way to describe the WiFi. Of course there is great WiFi near the road where you come in.
  18. How do I know where to go? Go to Gate 4 and follow the signs to Information - Site 37.
  19. I can't get there until Friday, am I going to lose my site? No, if you paid, your site is paid for. We may put a sign on your site that says, "Cloaked Trailer" for make and year until you arrive.
  20. How do I get a hold of you if I have a change in plans during the rally? Just call (916) 913-9114
  21. I still have questions, who do I call or email? - Just call the number below or email me at [email protected]
