WINTER SPORTS INJURY PREVENTION + RECOVERY WORKSHOP
Join us for an informative workshop focused on preventing and recovering from ski and snowboard injuries, at Call to Arms Brewing and in Denver in collaboration with a physical therapist! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just hitting the slopes, this session will provide valuable insights into the most common injuries, the mechanics behind them, and how to protect yourself on the mountain.

Cayla Enger (she/her) has worked in physical therapy rehab for over 4years as a PTA. She did her undergraduate at CU - Boulder with a degree in integrative physiology. Cayla also specializes in concussion - vestibular rehab from the American Institute of Balance.

Enjoy a happy hour and meet others in the skiing and snowboarding community at Call to Arms Brewing. They offer a great selection of craft beers and non-alcoholic options!

  • Injury Breakdown: Learn about the most common ski and snowboard injuries, including the mechanics behind each, such as how a fall can cause ACL tears.
  • Gender Differences in Injury Risk: Discover why women are at a higher risk for certain injuries, including ACL tears, and why binding failures are more likely to cause serious harm.

This is a free event with a suggested $10 donation, but you must RSVP because space is limited.
Why take a course with us?
The guides were so welcoming and cultivated such a pressure-free and inclusive learning setting. It was a supportive environment while being a safe-space for leaning, asking questions, and working through obstacles.

This is an amazing women owned and run organization, empowering women and nonbinary folks in the outdoors. I learned so much in my rec 1 course, in a supportive environment! Can't wait to be a part of more vntrbirds meet ups, clinics, and courses. I would highly recommend them for avalanche education!
- MAYLA
They cultivated an extremely encouraging and comfortable environment to learn in. I would absolutely recommend anyone take a course with them!
