Join us on January 26th at RMU in Breckenridge for an engaging, hands-on workshop focused on snow safety. Effective mapping and trip planning are essential steps for any backcountry adventure. Learn how to properly prepare before heading out, ensuring you’re equipped for a safe and successful day in the mountains. VNTRbirds will guide you through the process as you create your own map and develop valuable skills for your next backcountry outing.

- · Trip Planning Basics - group size, what is the objective, partner abilities, risk tolerances, etc.
- · Check the CAIC forecast & weather then cover correlation between the forecast and trip planning.
- · Basic digital mapping tools - Caltopo & other mapping resources.
