FEBRUARY ARTISTS

TOM SCHRECK
Tom Schreck is an independent musical artist currently based in Nashville, TN, and originally from Bismarck, ND. His four full-length studio albums, Outsider (2009), Save Your Glory (2014), #Schrexit (2020), and Mixed Shapes (Cover Songs) (2020), alongside his EP Added Glory (2015), showcase an artist with an insatiable creative appetite and a fascination with wide-ranging genres of music, from folk and standard singer-songwriter fare to garage rock, indie, power pop, electronic, Celtic, R&B, jazz, classical, croonerism, world music, and much more. His work has earned him finalist honors in the USA Songwriting Competition three consecutive years, as well as features on Nashville radio station Lightning 100's Local Lightning Spotlight and on the syndicated NPR program On Point in 2014. His unique singing voice, compositional style and captivating performances have placed him as a distinct and respected creative force in the Nashville community and beyond.

CONNOR RAND

Connor Rand is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with a deep interest in American music — traditional folk, bluegrass, ragtime, blues, songbook standards, and beyond. Originating in the Atlanta area, Connor relocated to Nashville over 15 years ago, and he has been a prolific songwriter ever since, composing both by himself and with dozens of Nashville’s favorite performers and writers. He is known for his clever wordplay and deft fingerpicking guitar style on both guitar and banjo.

TAYLOR ALEXANDER

Taylor Alexander is an acclaimed singer-songwriter based in Nashville. Alexander's early life was filled with—and deeply inspired by—music. His father, a classically trained opera singer and church music minister, encouraged his early interest in music by giving him a guitar at age 7. By age 14, Alexander formed his first band, largely influenced by punk music. Though he's still a punk fan to this day, everything changed when he heard Bob Dylan for the first time; then diving into the discographies of classic country songwriters like Hank Williams and Merle Haggard. At 17, he started alt-country band Young America and spent the next few years playing through the southeast. After embarking on a solo career and a brief stint on NBC's The Voice he released his debut full length album Good Old Fashioned Pain in April of 2019 to wide acclaim, with songs that "would fit right in on a playlist of today's biggest Americana acts: Jason Isbell, Margo Price, American Aquarium." - The Boot. It was listed as a "most essential album of 2019" by Saving Country Music who said "Good Old Fashioned Pain is the kind of record you hope and pray crosses your path as a country music fan.”

We are super pleased and excited to have these amazing songwriters and musicians in the Bellevue Listening Lounge stage.
