We invite you to the Walk to End Gun Violence. We walk in honor of Domonic Davis, an 11-year-old shot and killed in the West End. We walk in honor of all of those affected by the plague of gun violence. The event will commence with a walk through the West End, symbolizing our united stand against gun violence. This will be followed by a town hall and community dialogue event, providing an opportunity for city leaders, community leaders, and residents to engage in open discussions about creating impactful change.
In the spirit of community solidarity and healing, the day will conclude with a Concert for Peace at Ezzard Charles Park. This will not only be an occasion for reflection and unity but also a celebration of peace, featuring local musicians. Alongside the concert, there will be food trucks and booths from local non-profits, offering resources and information to families and youth. These activities are aimed at encouraging alternatives to gangs and gang violence, reinforcing our collective commitment to a safer, more hopeful future for our community.
