The War on Men: Emasculating Society, Undermining the Nation
Join us on February 11
There clearly is a war being waged against men and masculinity. In every way, there are efforts to emasculate men and boys, and the consequences of this are dire, not only for them as individuals, but for society at large.  A nation without men is a non-viable nation, and that is where we are headed.  This is meant to destabilize, undermine, weaken our nation, and weaken our best defenses against totalitarian forces.

Examples of how this "war" is waged include:

- the notion of “toxic masculinity” that is being poured all over our boys and men;
- the destruction of chivalry;
- a quashing of the virtues of heroism, adventurism, courage, honor and valor;
- the debasing of the value of fatherhood and the role of fathers generally;
- the emasculating of our military, thereby damaging our men and leaving our national security vulnerable
- the utter feminization of absolutely everything

And the consequences are dire.

We need our men to be men, and we need our boys to become men (and not be seen as “imperfect girls”). We need a revival of pride in masculinity and a restoration of masculine values and strength in civic life.

The conference will address the various ways in which war is being waged, but also will present solutions, actions, ideas for how to combat and claw back the rightful place of men.

And it will be a celebration of those traits, those values, those attributes associated with men and masculinity, as well as a celebration of fathers and the family.

One of the most potent aspects of an AFA conference is being able to spend time with our speakers and engage with them face to face.  The dynamism that comes from shared space is something we have always treasured, and during the various lockdowns and restrictions, it's been one of the things we missed the most.
It's also one of the things that they sought to destroy, KNOWING how crucial it is.
For that reason, we treasure these all the more.

 Opening Speaker

Dr. Warren Farrell
Dr. Farrell is one of the nation's foremost experts on the importance of fathers in the development of children and the family.  His most recent book, The Boy Crisis, is required reading for anyone curious about what is happening to our boys, and who seeks to do better by them. Because of his expertise on the topic, we were honored to have him speak at our 2017 conference on School Shootings; the correlation between such shootings and fatherlessness is exceedingly high, and any legitimate attempts at addressing these shootings must take this into account.

Dr. Warren Farrell has been chosen by The Financial Times of London as one of the world’s top 100 thought leaders, and by the Center for World Spirituality as one of the world’s spiritual leaders.

Dr. Farrell’s books are published in more than 50 countries, and in 19 languages. He has taught at the university level in five disciplines, and appeared on more than 1,000 TV shows. He has also been featured repeatedly in Forbes, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.

Dr. Farrell also recently spoke at Jordan Peterson's Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) conference in London.

We are honored to have him open this important conference.

Bill Whittle is an exceptional analyst, story teller, historian and commentator with an always-unique perspective and remarkable clarity. We were delighted that he was the speaker at our Holiday Dinner in December, and his talk then revealed some remarkable insights on the topic of our youth and how it relates to the greatest faultline in our society today: that between the law abiding and the utterly lawless. His commentary, that our young men are representatives of the extremes of both sides of that Faultline, is stunningly a propos of the topic of this conference, and we are very excited to have him speak at this event.
Bill produces fifty shows a month: Firewall; The Stratosphere Lounge; Right Angle with Scott Ott and Steve Green, and is starting three entirely new series — including a celebrity filmmaker show called Story Mechanics — as we enter 2024.

In July of 2019, Bill wrote and presented a four-part special on the fiftieth anniversary of the first moon landing, in partnership with The Daily Wire. In his first venture into the world of podcasting, all four episodes of Apollo 11: What We Saw reached second place on iTunes podcasts for any subject, worldwide. He followed that success with the widely acclaimed, thirteen-part history called The Cold War: What We Saw, followed by America’s Forgotten Heroes, in October of 2020. His fourth history series for The Daily Wire, an eight-part history of the Soviet Union called An Empire of Terror, debuted in 2023.

Bill spoke at our summer picnic in 2018, at our "Long March" conference in 2019, and was the Master of Ceremonies at our 2019 Heroes of Conscience Dinner. And we are honored to have him join us again!

Michael Walsh is a renowned author of seventeen books, both fiction and non-fiction.  Several, including The Devil's Pleasure Palace and The Fiery Angel, address the debasement of culture, i.e. the culture war, and why it matters.  He also is the editor of two collection of essays, Against the Great Reset, and the forthcoming Against the Corporate Media. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages.

He spoke at AFA's "Long March Through the Institutions" conference in May 2019, and has also participated in our Inside Looks and Parresia series of conversations. His knowledge, wisdom, perspective, eloquence and passion on these issues is supreme: his book Last Stands: Why Men Fight When All is Lost, addresses the nature of honor, courage and masculinity in the context of military history. A companion study, A Rage to Conquer: Twelve Battles that Changed the Course of Western History, will be published by St. Martin's Press early next year.

We are delighted that he will be coming to Los Angeles from his home in Ireland to speak at this important event.
