Westwood City Picnic
Join us on September 27
In 1983, the first fall after Westwood became a city, the first hog roast was held in the driveway of Mayor Peterson on Hickory Lane. A large cooker was wheeled in and the men gathered early in the morning to roast a hog. Later the ladies set the long tables and layed out a bountiful spread of food. It has now became an annual event to meet new neighbors and catch up on new and old friends. The mayor also gives a "state of the town" address. Because of the growing numbers, the site of the annual picnic has been held at the log cabin in Saunders Park.

This year Westwood will provide the meal, drinks and table service. All you need to bring is yourself!
