Women in Business 4th Annual Charity Gala
Join us on February 23
Women in Business' 4th Annual Charity Gala seeks to unite the Fisher, Ohio State, and Columbus communities in support of the local nonprofit, Junior Achievement of Central Ohio. Junior Achievement of Central Ohio's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Junior Achievement has over 100 local JA Areas across the nation, and together they are the nation's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA's programs—in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy—ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.
In 2023, operating under the name of the 'Undergraduate Business Women's Association,' WIB managed to raise over $6,000 for the Columbus-based nonprofit, The Period Pantry Project. This donation enabled the Period Pantry Project to expand its operations and rent a storage unit to store their inventory. While the primary objective of the event is to raise funds for the selected nonprofit organization, other subliminal goals include promoting community gathering, fostering connectedness, and encouraging greater student involvement in philanthropy. Help us meet these goals and join us on February 23, 2024 for a night of food, entertainment, and philanthropy!
