Wild Song Journey
A five-day wilderness immersion of song, ritual, and deep listening in the heart of the Olympic Wilds

Are you longing to renew your connection to the land? To your own cycles and rhythms where creativity is given space to breathe? Do you love singing? Are you a budding (or reluctant) song catcher? Are you ready for a sacred pause from screen time and from cars? To return to the mysteries and inspiration found in the natural world? Join us August 11th–15th, 2026 for a soulful immersion in the wilds of the Olympic Mountains! Led by experienced facilitators Nico Kladis & Samara Jade yet guided by the land and the beauty and simplicity found there. The spirit of place will be our mirror as we connect with ourselves, each other and our more-than-human world in a deeper way. Our intention for this time is to re-fill our cups and to return to our lives feeling more resourced. Some invitations include: group (and self led) nature ritual, individual and group singing/song-catching, dream council, supportive group circles, land based grief ritual space and a dedicated sit spot or day solo as access points.

  • Physical requirementsHiking with a pack (maybe 35 lbs) The trail is approximately five miles along a winding river to our base camp. Participants will carry their personal gear and food * if possible some group gear will be distributed.

  • Meals: You are on your own for lunch and snacks. Group breakfasts & dinners are provided, accommodating dietary needs and group preference.

  • Investment: Sliding-Scale 600-1000$ (some scholarship money available)

Your Guides
Samara Jade is a writer and singer of catchy medicinal songs, holder of sacred space, spelunker of the underworld, and avid explorer and guide of the wilderness and inner landscape of the soul. Through her music, facilitation, and one-on-one “song doula” work, Samara stands in service to guide others through the processes of transformative creativity and animistic nature connection while enchanting the world through song. Samara lives in the Southern Appalachian mountains of North Carolina (Cherokee territory) though strong tendrils frequently pull her to the Olympic Mountains of Washington State (s’Klallam/Chimacum). Nico Kladis MA, is a facilitator, wilderness guide and mental health therapist. His life’s work has arisen out of the paradox of heartbreak and beauty as well as joy and suffering. Nico’s lineage comes primarily from mixed European and Mediterranean ancestry. He is committed to growing his awareness of his ancestors’ acts of harm and humanity, and how they echo through his life and actions. Collaborating with others in service to wholeness is one way he is learning to repair. He values a relational, somatic and experiential approach to the work while integrating an attachment based framework of belonging for all parts of us, the living world, and our non-human-kin. Nico integrates Dharma practice, ritual and land-based connection for individuals, groups and specifically men exploring their relationship to grief and praise for the benefit of all. Samaya is a 35-pound German Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix. The runt of the litter, she was recognized early on as a healing force and soon became a certified therapy dog. Samaya spent the first four years of her life on tour with the hugging saint from India fondly known as Amma. More recently, she is a fixture among the Port Townsend/Chimacum community and is frequently spotted at Steps Beach and Cappy's trails.
