About Karl Meyer
Karl was born and raised in Pasadena, California and now is living in Manhattan Beach with his supportive wife.

His photography journey began at an early age when he and his sister built a homemade, uncomplicated and unembellished dark room, in their basement.

He became the privileged cameraman for his high school (Loyola High School) and then a college newspaper photographer at USC.

He went on as a commercial photo apprentice in Hollywood and studied film and advertising at the Art Center College of Design.

He considers himself a passionate creator who finds joy in capturing landscape, aerial, close-up, and portrait photography.
About Uncorked Wine Shops
With more than 1,000 wines from all over the world, Uncorked is a retail shop that features award-winning wines as well as hard-to-find boutique selections.  Uncorked also offers craft beers, both domestic and imported!

Anytime Uncorked is open, there are always 8 wines on the tasting list to choose from.  In addition, free corkage with local restaurants, unique wine accessories, custom gift baskets, gourmet cheese, olive oils, and special gourmet treats are just another few reasons to stop by one of our two locations in Manhattan and Hermosa Beach.

Uncorked was co-founded by Jeff Bonafede and Kathy Knoll.

Before opening Uncorked, Jeff worked in the trenches as a rep, a wine cellar consultant, and a specialist in procurement of rare and collectible wines.

Kathy is the ambitious local lady and the drinking oops driving force behind Uncorked.  She is on the board of the Hermosa Chamber of Commerce and is a bona fide Social Butterfly with a concentration in wine bars.
About Simms Restaurants
Simms Restaurants was founded by Mike and Chris Simms together with their father Tom.  They took on a tiny Manhattan Beach space to open the South Bay’s first craft beer pub Simmzy’s, in 2009 and soon after opened the Tin Roof Bistro.
In 2011 the Simms' partnered with Chef David LeFevre to open Manhattan Beach Post.  Building on their partnership, the Simms-LeFevre team later opened Fishing With Dynamite in 2013 and The Arthur J in 2015.
As they prepare to celebrate ten years of business, Simms and LeFevre maintain the same unwavering commitment to providing a guest-first experience.
