A Windy City Breakthrough: Data to Drive Youth Progress
Advocates and policymakers have shone a light on the many problems young people in under resourced communities face. But for all the attention on the problems, there is far less focus on the solutions – and where investments are most effective. A Better Chicago seeks to change that by creating a data-driven model to end the cycle of poverty. Our new tool – the Youth Opportunity Dashboard – measures Chicago’s efforts through critical youth outcomes, empowering civic leaders and youth-serving organizations to inform their investments and efforts that produce systemic change.
