Expo Room: Pilates Clinical The Digital Studio Pivot
Technology-as-a-Service & Open Studio Private Integration

As the Pilates industry evolves, successful studio models are shifting toward hybrid, high-retention frameworks. This workshop delivers a masterclass in operational innovation, focusing on how to integrate Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS) platforms directly into an Open Studio format. Instructors and studio owners will learn how to leverage self-guided digital programming, video-assisted feedback loops, and app-based tracking to manage an autonomous, multi-client circuit space efficiently.
The true magic, however, lies in preserving the high-touch premium experience. The second half of this session dives deep into the strategic relationship between the Open Studio layout and one-on-one Private Sessions. You will discover how to use private assessments to prescribe custom digital routines, how to transition clients seamlessly between independent open hours and targeted private interventions, and how to utilize your 6 Reformer/Tower combination units to maximize hourly revenue without compromising individualized clinical care.

Session 1: Pilates Contemporary Mindful Mechanics & Seamless Flow
Mindful Mechanics & Seamless Flow withThe Biomechanics of Creative Sequencing

Experience the intersection of exercise science and fluid movement choreography. This unique contemporary workshop bridges the gap between deep anatomical awareness and seamless, creative pacing. In the first half, we will dive into an evidence-based breakdown of joint mechanics, exploring the true biomechanics of core stability, pelvic placement, and shoulder organization so you know exactly which muscles should fire during complex shapes. Then, we put theory into motion. Using that sharp mind-body connection, you will transition into a continuous, multi-planar flow. By applying flawless alignment to non-traditional sequencing, you will challenge your coordination, build deep cardiovascular stamina, and discover how anatomical precision unlocks an effortless, injury-free flow state.

Session 1: Pilates Classical The Art of Progression
Simple observation tools to safely teach, progress, and support every body in the room.

Knowing when to progress (or regress) a client is one of the greatest skills a Pilates teacher can possess. But true progression isn’t just about moving from a basic exercise to an advanced one - it is a delicate balance between physical readiness and mental autonomy.

Some clients have the physical strength but are held back by fear or lack of coordination. Others have the movement patterns memorised, but their stability hasn’t caught up yet. Are we advancing our clients because they are truly ready, or are we chasing novelty at the expense of mastery? Managing these dynamics in a busy multi-level Mat or Reformer class can feel overwhelming. This workshop is designed to take the guesswork out of the equation.

Using real-time observation of participants, we will dissect 3-5 Mat and 3-5 Reformer exercises found in every beginner-level repertoire. You will learn exactly how to identify the subtle physical and mental clues that signal its time to layer on a challenge or maybe dial it back.

Session 1: Pilates Clinical Observe, Understand, Teach
A Clinical Approach to Better Movement in Pilates

As Pilates instructors, we've all asked ourselves the same questions: Why do some clients progress quickly while others continue to compensate? Why do back, hip, or pelvic discomforts sometimes persist despite regular practice? And where should we begin to make a meaningful difference, even in a group class?
This workshop offers a practical, clinical, and accessible approach to movement. You will learn how to sharpen your observation skills, recognize common movement compensations, and identify the foundational elements that influence posture, stability, mobility, and overall movement quality.
Through hands-on experiences and simple, practical exercises, you will explore an approach that will help you observe, assess, and respond with greater confidence and precision in both private sessions and group classes.
Each participant will receive a practical workbook summarizing the key concepts covered during the workshop, along with practical tools that can be immediately integrate into their teaching.
Francais:
Observer. Comprendre. Enseigner.

Session 2: Pilates Contemporary Intelligence with Classical Roots
Preserving the Method While Teaching Modern Bodies

This workshop examines how contemporary knowledge of anatomy, rehabilitation, and movement science can support, not replace, the classical Pilates system. Designed for instructors looking to deepen their critical thinking, this session offers a collaborative look at how modern biomechanics can honor historical intent. Gain an understanding the why behind classical positioning, utilizing modern rehabilitation concepts to safely deconstruct complex choreography for injured or restricted clients. As you learn practical, real-world regression and progression strategies that allow you to modify exercises on the fly without losing the essence of the movement. This is to assist you in mastering the art of keeping the traditional sequencing, flow, and rigorous purpose of the original repertoire intact, ensuring your clients still experience the profound uniform development Joseph Pilates intended.

Session 2: Pilates Classical The Wunda Chair Within the Pilates Method
How the Wunda Chair develops connection, progression, and whole-body integration.

The Wunda Chair packs a lot of punch into a remarkably small piece of equipment. It develops strength, lift, length, balance, and control - all hallmarks of the Pilates Method. Its compact design makes it both space-efficient and capable of delivering an incredibly challenging workout.

But beyond its sweaty reputation, where does the Wunda Chair fit within Joe Pilates' Method?

Through interactive discussion and movement exploration, you'll discover how the Wunda Chair reinforces the relationships between exercises and equipment, re-establishes missing connections from the Mat and Reformer, teaches new movement strategies, rebalances asymmetries, and creates meaningful opportunities for progression. Whether introducing new skills or challenging even the strongest students, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the Wunda Chair's unique role within the Pilates Method.

Session 2: Pilates Clinical The Prop Integration Method
The Prop Integration Method for Neuro-Mobility, Prop-Assisted Stabilization & Fascial Flow

Expand the boundaries of your contemporary practice by exploring how small apparatus work intersects with cutting-edge movement science. This interactive workshop shifts the focus away from traditional high-intensity athletic conditioning to explore diverse, intelligent training integrations. In the first half, you will master how contemporary Pilates utilizes tools like resistance bands, mini-balls, and foam rollers to create unstable environments that force your deep stabilizing muscles to fire, while also using them to assist and support your movement. Then, we take these props a step further by integrating elements of functional neurology (sensory and vestibular drills), myofascial sling tracking, and three-dimensional mobility into traditional Tower sequences. By blending small props with diverse neuro-mobility modalities, you will learn to facilitate incredible myofascial release, optimize joint decompression, and cultivate a highly resilient, deeply integrated body that moves with effortless grace.
