The Alliance for Innovative Regulation (AIR), Orrick, Mercury, and the American Fintech Council (AFC), invite you to join this Workshop taking place in Washington, DC, on November 19!This interactive workshop provides an opportunity to hear directly from examiners and develop solutions based on their needs and perspectives. This session expands on the Bridge Builders concept, a winning solution in the
2024 Mini Sprint, which framed the examiner–fintech relationship as a divide that requires intentional connection. (Note: You don't need to have attended the 2024 event to participate in this one!) The Bridge Builder idea emphasizes creating shared understanding and trust between regulators and innovators by focusing on the common goals of consumer protection, market integrity, and sustainable financial growth. Rather than viewing examiners and fintechs as operating in separate worlds, the Bridge Builder approach highlights how structured dialogue, shared learning tools, and user-centered training can close gaps in knowledge, perspective, and practice.
Objectives- Develop actionable solutions to enhance Examiner Learning—both in content and delivery—that narrow the gap between examiners and fintech.
- Introduce participants to human-centric design methods and tools.
- Bring together individuals from across the financial ecosystem to learn, share, and collaborate.
Please note that this event is open to both AFC members and nonmembers.Have additional questions about the Workshop? Please contact [email protected].
