This session will provide attendees with important updates on campus safety, security, and research compliance. The University of Alabama Police Department will present the latest information on campus safety and security, including updates related to campus parking. Michael Kelly will discuss facility access control, outlining the process for requesting access to buildings and restricted spaces so participants understand the proper procedures. The Research Security team will cover key topics including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Export Controls, intellectual property (IP), and other controlled research programs and projects.
