This new Society has been formed to provide a range of excellent, mainly classical, music in Shaftesbury and to promote the range of musical provision within the district (from Sherborne to Salisbury, Warminster to Blandford).
 
We are delighted to host the Shaftesbury Young Performers Festival in November, to showcase and encourage youthful talent. Also we have January’s Festival of Baroque. This and similar events featuring top specialist performers is enabling Shaftesbury to become a significant regional hub for period music.
 
With four trustees and a growing management team, we will develop with the support of our members. Newsletters will be provided for all members, and while Associate Membership is free, Full Members will enjoy a range of benefits, including discounts on the Society’s concerts, private events, screenings and DVD library, and more.
