Jared Tyler—one of our favorite Tulsa artists—brings his latest project, The Doll Flys, to Tulsa Time House Concerts on Saturday, April 25. A roots-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Tyler spent time honing his craft in Nashville before returning home to Tulsa. He toured for several years with Malcolm Holcombe, has released three albums, and has worked with artists including Emmylou Harris, Merle Haggard, Wilco, John Moreland, Jimmy LaFave, and John Fullbright. His most recent project, Saugeye, was a collaboration with Casey Van Beek, Seth Lee Jones, and Jake Lynn.
Formed in late 2024, The Doll Flys feature Tyler alongside Casey Van Beek, Zac Annett, and a rotating cast of local musicians. Known for their residency at The Colony Tulsa, the band blends blues, country, and rock into a fun, rootsy groove that has quickly made them a local favorite, delivering lively, engaging performances grounded in Tulsa’s rich musical tradition.
Per usual, this will be a BYOB and potluck event. Jared will perform on the backyard stage, weather permitting, so bring your lawn chair. If we have to move inside, seating is provided.

The Adam Aguilar Band, one of the most popular bands in the Tulsa Time House Concert series, returns for another memorable show on Saturday, June 6th. Adam's influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Doyle Bramhall Jr and Ian Moore, with his music being described as bluesy soul/rock. Between his multi-octave voice, massive amount of charisma, and lead guitarist Randy Sanders' phenomenal talent, he consistently blows away both new and old audience members. Adam has deservedly been awarded the from, and we are lucky to be his main Tulsa venue for the past few years.

TTHC is happy to host Luke Bulla and Jared Tyler on June 20. Luke spent his early years in Tennessee playing fiddle in Ricky Skaggs’ band, Kentucky Thunder, which earned him his first Grammy Award. He spent his early years touring with Ricky Skaggs. More recently, he has performed and/or recorded with Brandi Carlile, Jim Lauderdale, Darrell Scott, Alison Krauss, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Bryan Sutton, Kevin Costner, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, Rodney Crowell, and Earl Scruggs, to name a few.

With his long-time friend Casey Driessen, Luke founded the band Wisechild, which toured briefly with John Mayer and Counting Crows. He also had a band collaboration, W.P.A. (Works Progress Administration), which included members Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek, Fiction Family), Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket), Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek, I’m With Her), Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello and the Imposters, The Attractions, Los Lobos), Greg Leisz (Joni Mitchell, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Beck), and Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello and the Imposters, Cracker).

In 2009, Luke released his first solo EP. That same year, Lyle Lovett asked Luke to join his Large Band, with whom he toured full time until 2023.

In 2015 Luke co-founded a Bluegrass/Americana record label, Pure Music | Nashville, with music and business executive John L. Heithaus. Luke’s LP, Who Loves You Better, was released by the label in May of 2016. Recorded at Zac Brown’s studio, Southern Ground Nashville.

Currently Luke is happy to be touring and we are thrilled to welcome him back to Tulsa!

Jared Tyler, an Oklahoma born artist has accomplished much in a short span of time. He played dobro with Malcolm Holcombe for several years and has also worked with artists such as Emmylou Harris, John Moreland, John Fulbright, and Jimmy Lafave among others. He has formed a few bands in Tulsa including Saugeye and the Doll Flys. Tyler’s music straddles many genres including folk, blues, bluegrass, country, gospel, red dirt and soul without losing focus on the songwriting and Tyler’s voice. He also is one of the new owners of The Colony.
He joins Luke as a friend and writer of a song that Luke recorded.
Tulsa Time House Concerts
My house concerts started about 7 years ago with Dustin Pittsley and Jesse Aycock in my backyard.  Then Don White packed the house 2 nights in a row!  Hmm, we might have something here...I had managed the Dustin Pittsley Band for several years prior and it seemed like a natural progression.
Each show has a suggested minimum donation per person which I request be paid in advance online with a credit card or with cash/check. All proceeds (minus 10% for expenses) goes to the musicians. Your seat is not reserved prior to receipt of payment. This is to ensure we have enough people to make it worthwhile for the artists and for me to know how to set up the house depending on the number of guests. THE PRICE GOES UP THE DAY OF THE SHOW.
The shows are always BYOB with a voluntary potluck. I encourage you to come early to mingle, grab some food and select your seats.
The musicians present outstanding shows and deserve our respect so I ask guests to remain seated while a song is being played. Also kindly keep voices low during the performance so everyone who has traveled and paid to enjoy them may do so.
If weather permits, please bring a lawn chair for outdoors. I will notify you if it is inside or out before the day of the show.
We have plenty of street parking.

Tulsa Time House Concerts is now a member of Folk Alliance International.

FAQ's
WHAT IS A HOUSE CONCERT
As the name implies, it is a concert.... in a house as opposed to a commercial venue where the audience and musicians are almost certainly more separated by distance and formality. Guests are there for their favorite artists among other like minded music lovers in a cozy setting!

REGISTRATION
For information/registration, please resister with a link on the event above. Once registered, you will be sent a confirmation email with the location – so yes, I will need your email address. You must prepay to guarantee admittance.

COST
The price of admittance goes directly to the musicians minus 10% to the host to help cover costs. Tips are always welcomed.

WHERE IS THE VENUE/HOUSE?
Due to its being in a private residence, you will receive the address upon ticket purchase. It is important for your host to know the number of people attending prior to the show so preparations can be made and seating is appropriate. You really don’t want someone sitting in your lap, do you?

TIME
Generally, *unless specifically noted*, the optional potluck social hour begins 30 minutes before show time. There is an intermission where you may purchase the artists’ CDs, grab more food/drink, and mingle.

OPTIONAL POTLUCK
You may attend the concert without coming to the potluck social beforehand. Eating, drinking and mingling with cool people is optional but recommended. Potluck social hour begins about 60 minutes before the show starts.  There is usually an intermission where you may purchase the artists’ CDs, posters, grab more food/drink, and mingle.

I’m coming from out of town.
I don’t cook. What to do about the potluck?
No worries. The main point is to be here. Snack items and items purchased from the deli are totally fine. We also have some excellent cooks who bring amazing dishes. This is not a cooking contest.

WHAT DO I BRING FOR THE POTLUCK?
We are definitely putting the “luck” in potluck and not assigning specific dishes. Bring a DRINK and a DISH to share. Some food/drink, and all plates, utensils etc will be provided.

CHANGE IN REGISTRATION
You are under no obligation to attend and sometimes things come up in life. Please contact us ASAP so we can free up your seat(s) for other attendees.

LAST MINUTE REGISTRATION
Go for it. If we have the space, meaning tickets are still available, we’d love to have you here.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES THE VENUE SEAT/IS THERE PARKING?
Indoors – Up to 50. Outside, 50 to ??. We have some outdoor seating but suggest you bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Plenty of neighborhood parking but please be mindful of neighbors’ driveways etc.
