On Saturday 7th of December enjoy a Christmas casino in the heart of Camden at Dr Crookston's Estate, built circa 1880. Imagine stepping back in time to a bygone era, immersed by sprinkles of magic at every turn.... and we mean real magic!
The Welcome
Gather your friends, family or business colleagues and step through the mystical gates. Be greeted with a sparkling wine, from our very own local aerial waitress, as she entertains from above. It's glamourous, heart-stopping and totally unexpected. Experience our olde English style courtyard, an area once used by the Doctors maids and cooks, feel the nostalgia, as you connect with the past of those that have walked before you. Enjoy a few canapes as you take in all the beauty and character of this 1880s estate. To add a touch of Christmas magic, our friends at Avion Aerial Entertainment will present a unique and elegant Christmas inspired performance. Not only that, their stunning performers will be available for photo opportunities during our soirée. A wonderful way to capture and share your experience, there’s sure to be plenty of Instagram-worthy moments.
The Casino
Once complete they will lead you to Camden's very own Vegas style casino. Think roulette, black jack and all the excitement of Vegas as you play the tables. Win prizes and prove to family, friends or business colleagues you are the King or Queen of the casino. You may not be able to win money, but you will most definitely win the bragging rights, taking home the title as the No. 1 gambler in town.
The Entertainment
Immerse yourself in our Hamptons style marquee, with the excitement of the casino in the background, sit back and relax in our Victorian era lounge area with our Christmas inspired cocktail in hand and enjoy the smooth tones of our DJ / roaming saxophone artist as he works the crowd...you really could be in Vegas. Not to mention a few other surprises we are keeping up our sleeve, the excitement of Vegas will fill the room.

Enjoy a wide variety of canapes - think Bree & parmesan arancini, Peking duck spring rolls, prosciutto wrapped king prawn with mango salsa, the list goes on, and best of all... your ticket includes all your beer, wine and soft drink for the duration of your session.

Immerse all of your senses as you take the opportunity to listen at one of our record player stations.

The home of Dr Crookston as it is colloquially known in the township of Camden, sits proudly atop of John Street. Even though a sizeable property at one of the highest and central points in this old English style town, it hides itself away, screened by a myriad of well-established trees, that although old, are only mere adolescents compared to the age of such a home. The house has a proud history within the township, and as per the request by Camden’s very own royalty - Sir William Macarthur who commissioned and financed the build, the home was to be a substantial structure ornamental to the town.
