RED DIRT RANGERS
Welcome the Red Dirt Rangers, one of our most frequent and fun bands, back to the stage on Memorial Day weekend, Friday, May 31!
The Red Dirt Rangers are an American band deeply rooted in the vibrant music scene of Oklahoma. Formed in 1988, the band has become synonymous with the "Red Dirt" sound, a genre blending elements of folk, rock, country, and blues, reflective of the region's musical heritage.
Comprising founding members Brad Piccolo, Ben Han, and John Cooper, along with other talented musicians who have joined the lineup over the years, the Red Dirt Rangers have garnered a loyal following for their soulful lyrics, tight harmonies, and electrifying live performances.
With a career spanning several decades, the Red Dirt Rangers have released numerous albums, each showcasing their evolution as musicians while staying true to their roots. Their discography includes acclaimed works such as "Ranger's Command," "Starin' Down the Sun," and "Oklahoma Territory," among others.
Beyond their music, the Red Dirt Rangers are known for their commitment to their community and the preservation of Oklahoma's musical heritage.
With their distinctive sound and unwavering dedication to their craft, the Red Dirt Rangers have criss-crossed the nation (and Europe) bringing their unique sound to the people. The band helped create what is now called "Red Dirt Music", that elusive blend of country, rock and roll, blues and bluegrass along with a big helping of Oklahoma soul.
As always, it will be a potluck and BYOB event. Gate opens at 6:30 with music starting at 7:30.
