BMMA, Inc. (Black Mamas Matter Alliance) cordially invites you to the Georgia Black Maternal Health Taskforce (GaBMHT) Stakeholder Meeting.

Join us for a high-level, solutions-focused convening designed to shape Georgia’s maternal and child health policy priorities through an equity-driven lens. This facilitated session will bring together cross-sector leaders—including healthcare providers, public health professionals, policymakers, community advocates, institutional decision-makers, and professionals from fields such as transportation, housing, labor, and education—to collaborate on systemic solutions that improve maternal health outcomes across the state.

With a central focus on addressing the inequities impacting Black maternal health, this meeting will create space to:
  • Analyze how current state and local policies impact maternal and infant health outcomes, particularly for Black women, birthing people, and families.
  • Identify policy barriers and structural gaps that contribute to persistent disparities in access, quality, and outcomes.
  • Gather both qualitative and quantitative data to inform and shape, equity-driven advocacy strategies for the 2027 Georgia legislative session.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a collective effort to transform Georgia’s maternal and child health systems—grounded in racial equity, collaboration, and community voice. Whether you work in a hospital system, public agency, nonprofit, university, or are a community leader, your insight is critical to this work.

About the Taskforce:
The Georgia Black Maternal Health Taskforce, led by BMMA, is dedicated to advancing policies and systemic reforms that address inequities in Black Maternal Health outcomes. Through strategic partnerships and convenings, community activation, and data-informed solutions, we aim to improve Black maternal health outcomes through policy engagement and advocacy throughout Georgia and in doing so, strengthen health systems and outcomes across the board.
