Delaware Patriot Heroes: A Morning Conversation on Delaware Patriot Heroes
250 years after the American Revolution, two Delaware soldiers' stories are finally getting their due.
It is 1776. You have a home, a family, a place in the community. What would it take for you to give that all up in pursuit of overthrowing the government you've lived under your whole life?
Join us at CSC Station as Brigadier General Kennard R. Wiggins (DE ANG, Ret.) shares the story behind Delaware Patriot Heroes, his dual biography of two forgotten Revolutionary War soldiers: Robert Kirkwood and Peter Jaquett. These "battle buddies" joined the fight for American independence together, showing valor and courage across 32 battles over eight years with the Delaware Continental Regiment. Both endured incredible hardship — one life ended in tragedy, the other in relative obscurity.
