WHAT IS CAMPAIGN SCHOOL?
This program is designed to equip women, Two Spirit, and gender diverse individuals with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to run for political office in Canada. Whether you are considering federal, provincial, municipal, or even local leadership roles like your school board or PTA, our campaign school supports you in taking that first step into politics with confidence.

This module will focus specifically on municipal elections as we prepare for upcoming races across the country, while building a foundation that applies across all levels of government. As a multi partisan organization, Equal Voice brings together elected officials and experts from all political parties, giving participants the opportunity to learn from a wide range of perspectives and experiences while developing the skills and vision to create meaningful change in their communities.

REQUIREMENTS 
Are you a woman, non-binary, or gender-diverse individual? Then you’re in! Equal Voice welcomes people from all walks of life, all ages, all backgrounds, and all levels of education. All you need is a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn.

Discover your 'why,' identify where you stand on the political spectrum, and learn the essential steps to take before announcing your run. We'll also explore your skills and what you can expect from a career in politics.

Canada’s Municipal and Local Political Systems
Learn how municipal and provincial politics work, and get practical guidance on organizing election day and coordinating volunteers.

Media & Mass Communications Confidence
Define your personal brand, expand your reach to larger audiences, and build confidence in public speaking and media interviews.

Raise Your Profile
Explore strategies to build your network and effectively canvass for votes. Learn how to develop your communication plan and prepare to deliver a compelling elevator pitch at the doorstep.

PLUS — hear directly from politicians, political staffers, and campaign managers from every level of government and political stripe. PROGRAM COSTS
The program fee is $95, with a discounted student rate of $45. Don't let cost be a barrier - financial assistance, as well as childcare subsidies are available upon request! Please indicate interest for these items in the program registration form.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Cost should never be a barrier to exploring political leadership. We offer partial scholarships for Campaign Schools, as well as limited travel and childcare subsidies, based on need and available funds.

Scholarships are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with limited spaces available. To apply, select “Attendee – Scholarship” when registering and complete the required questions.
