Join us for an in-depth, eye-opening midday conversation with Avi Melamed — former Israeli intelligence official, Arab Affairs Advisor, geopolitical Middle East expert, and founder of the Inside the Middle East | Intelligence Perspectives (ITME) Institute.

As we reach two years after October 7, Avi will explore “Two Years After October 7 | The Domino Effect and the Path Ahead,” offering a clear framework for understanding the region by addressing three essential questions: How did we get here? Where are we now? Where are we going?

In a moment when the Middle East feels especially complex and volatile, Avi brings rare clarity grounded in lived experience. Fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English — and deeply connected to voices across the Arab and Muslim worlds — he helps audiences understand the region not through headlines, but through context, nuance, and firsthand insight. His approach is rooted in a simple belief: to understand Israel, we must understand the Middle East.

This session will explore perspectives often missing in Western discourse, show how regional dynamics shape Israel’s reality, and offer tools for engaging thoughtfully and confidently in today’s fast-changing landscape. Following the presentation, guests will engage in a brief Q&A and have time to reflect on key insights.

About Avi Melamed
Avi Melamed is a geopolitical Middle East expert, former Israeli intelligence official, Arab Affairs Advisor, and the Founder & CEO of the Inside the Middle East | Intelligence Perspectives (ITME) Institute — a non-profit dedicated to apolitical Middle East education.

Uniquely positioned at the intersection of intelligence, diplomacy, and education, Avi’s analysis draws from decades of firsthand experience walking the corridors of power, navigating backstreets of conflict zones, and listening deeply to voices across the Arab and Muslim worlds that are often missing from Western narratives.

Avi has authored three books, produced The Seam Line, a five-part docuseries exploring the layers of conflict in and over Jerusalem, and is releasing a new educational film, Inside the Middle East | The Primer, showcasing perspectives rarely heard in global conversations. Through programs like ITME’s international Fellowship — Voices from the Middle East About the Middle East — he empowers rising leaders to understand the region’s complexities and expand informed dialogue.
