Humber Polytechnic Global Game Jam
Join us January 30 to February 1
The Global Game Jam is a 48-hour create-athon where you collaborate with others to create fun and innovative game prototypes based around a mystery theme. The GGJ stimulates collaboration and is not a competition. Join us at Humber Polytechnic's North Campus to participate in this popular annual global event!

What to Know Before You Register
Registration is required and is a two-part process.

Step 1: Please RSVP using this page. Deadline to register: January 24, 2026 12:00am.
Step 2: Our official jam site will open up for registration on the first day of the jam (Jan 30). Sign up there so that your team can upload your game by Sunday, February 1.

All Jammers
Those participating in the Global Game Jam at Humber Polytechnic must be at least 18 years of age.

Participants should be aware that Humber is committed to providing a learning, working and living environment that recognizes and values equity, diversity and inclusion in all its programs and services. While this event is hosted in-person only this year, we will work with jammers who require alternate arrangements in order to participate.

Non-Humber students are welcome to participate in the jam. However, we do ask that they consider making a donation to Humber student bursaries.
Team Jammers
Form your team, and then register with them. All team members must register individually.

This Jam will have a seating plan, so please provide your team name when you register.
Solo Jammers
Register now--we can help you find a team on the day of the event.
Rules
1. Participants in the jam at Humber Polytechnic are subject to the Code of Student Community Standards. Read more.

2. The jam is also subject to Global Game Jam's own Inclusiveness Policy and Code of Conduct. Please ensure you have read it before the start of the jam.

3. This is not a competition and will be treated as such.

4. Be respectful of the jam and your fellow jammers.

5. This is meant to be a fun time for everyone, so please be considerate.

6. No alcohol or drugs.

7. No outside guests (ie. people who are not registered Humber jammers) during the jam.

8. Please DO NOT move any tables, chairs or equipment out of the rooms.

9. Please exercise caution when using the foosball and pool tables.

10. Jammers are not permitted behind the Villa Madina and soup bar counters.

11. Jammers are strongly encouraged to go home to eat and sleep in the evenings.
Equipment & Supplies
Please make sure you have the equipment you'll need for the weekend. We DO NOT provide hardware, including computers.

We provide WiFi and power, as well as flip charts and markers.
Food & Refreshments
The Street Cafe on campus is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 3 pm.
