The award-winning Holiday Nights At The Park is back! Celebrate the holiday season with the City of Portsmouth Department of Parks and Recreation at Portsmouth City Park! Enjoy a ride on the famous Pokey Smokey II to view over 150,00 twinkling lights. Delight in live entertainment provided by Portsmouth Public School students and local community talent, watch holiday themed movies, explore your creative side with crafts, and have fun on the fully lighted playground!
Select your desired date and time to ride, then purchase tickets in advanced for $2 per person for anyone 3 and older. Youth under 2 are free with a paying adult. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.

Entertainment and Activities
Live entertainment is provided by various Portsmouth Public Schools and local community talent. You can enjoy free crafts with Central Baptist Church and hot coco from Rick's Custard. The full entertainment schedule can be found on our website https://portsmouthparks.com/
What To Expect
Here are a few things to make your experience more enjoyable
*Purchase tickets in advance through this website by clicking the PURCHASE TICKETS button. You can purchase up to 10 tickets at a time. All dates and times for train rides are listed.
*Select Add-on after you hit the "Check Out" button to get free tickets for youth under 2 with a paying adult.
*Arrive to the train station approximately 10 minutes before your selected train ride time. Have your tickets ready to show the train attendant.
*Refunds will be issued on the same card used to purchase tickets within 3 - 5 business days in the event of inclement weather and the event is cancelled by Portsmouth Parks and Recreation.
*Refunds will NOT be provided for missed train rides.
