The Parade of Piñatas returns to La Palmera Mall as part of the Día de los Muertos Festival, and we’re inviting businesses, organizations, and community members to join in the fun as participants and piñata creators!

This year's theme, Superheroes Unite, celebrates the power of courage, kindness, teamwork, and imagination. Participants will receive an undecorated horse piñata and transform it into a one-of-a-kind superhero inspired by comic books, movies, community heroes, or their own creative vision. From capes and masks to bold colors and larger-than-life accessories, this is your chance to bring a hero to life while showcasing your creativity.

Piñatas will be displayed at La Palmera Mall from October 12–25, where visitors can vote for their favorites and participate in an online auction benefiting the Día de los Muertos Festival. Whether you use traditional materials or think outside the box, we encourage you to create a display that captures the spirit of this year's theme and inspires the community.

Event Details:

• Registration Deadline: August 2, 2026
• Entry Fee: $150 per piñata
• Piñata Pickup: Estimated between September 1st–7th
• Setup at La Palmera Mall: Monday, October 12th, from 7:00–10:00 AM or 7:00–10:00 PM
• Public Display Dates: October 12th–25th
• Judging: October 23rd
• Piñata Pickup & Display Removal: October 26th (any display items not picked up will be discarded)

Prizes:

• 1st Place: $250 Visa Gift Card
• 2nd Place: $150 Visa Gift Card
• People's Choice: $100 Visa Gift Card
