You're invited to join us for a 2 hour experience including breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, journaling and a live sound bath.
SETTLE offers a brief understanding of how our nervous system works and the importance of it, keeping us safe. We will teach you how to notice subtle changes in your breath and in your mood, possibly from childhood or adult experiences that have affected our mental and physical health.
This experience's intention is to provide a space for you to learn and practice proven techniques to help you get more into your "rest and digest" part of the autonomic nervous system, aka parasympathetic. When we are in our freeze or flight sympathetic, for too long we start to notice symptoms in our body and in our mind.
SETTLE is a signature workshop created by Jess Pfeffer, masters level mental health therapist and registered yoga teacher. Through her education and life experiences she has created a template to share with the community and this month has invited Shelby Adina to share her gift of sound healing in order to complement the offering.
Think of your nervous system like the strings of a guitar. When life becomes stressful, those strings get pulled too tight. Sound healing doesn't magically fix everything, but it gives your body an opportunity to retune itself. The soothing sounds invite your breath to slow, your muscles to soften, and your nervous system to remember what it feels like to rest.
We invite you to show up and allow us to create a space offering peace and calm, a place to be taken care of from start to finish, and above all a reminder that you have the tools within you to regulate whenever you need it.
People come to SETTLE to:
- Release built-up stress and tension
- Regulate their nervous system and lower cortisol
- Feel more grounded, present, and connected
- Experience rest in a way that actually feels productive
- Be in community without pressure or expectation
