Speaking Out: Antisemitism and the Law with Judge Lisa Branch and U.S. Attorney Theodore Hertzberg
April 14, 2026
8:00–9:00 AM
The Dupree Conference and Education Center

Two of the legal community’s most prominent voices on antisemitism come to The Dupree for a candid and timely conversation about their work. U.S. Attorney Theodore Hertzberg will share his experience prosecuting antisemitic crimes, while 11th Circuit Judge Lisa Branch will reflect on her decision to lead a boycott of law clerk hiring from Columbia University and her broader advocacy against antisemitism on campus and beyond.
In this special morning gathering, Judge Branch and Mr. Hertzberg will explore how the legal system is responding to rising antisemitism — from federal prosecution to judicial leadership — and what it means to uphold justice, accountability, and public trust in a complex and rapidly evolving environment. Together, they will offer insight into the intersection of law, public service, and moral clarity at a critical moment for the Jewish community and American society.
The conversation will include moderated dialogue followed by time for audience questions, inviting participants to engage directly with two leaders at the forefront of this work and consider the role each of us can play in confronting antisemitism today.
