Be part of history as Silver City celebrates the 250th Anniversary of the birth of the United States! 
Start your Independence Day with the hometown favorite Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, then gather for the Flag Raising Ceremony and Singing of the National Anthem at 9:00 AM—a powerful moment of patriotism and community pride.

Line the streets for the Independence Day Parade kicking off at 10:00 AM (participant lineup begins at 8:45 AM)—a vibrant showcase of local spirit, tradition, and celebration.

After the parade, head to Gough Park for the Patriotic Freedom Festival, where the celebration continues with live music, local vendors, great food, and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Bring your chairs or relax on the grass and enjoy the music.

This isn’t just another 4th of July—this is a once-in-a-generation celebration of 250 years of freedom, resilience, and American spirit. A free community event open to all. Bring your family, invite your friends, and join us in the heart of Grant County as we celebrate our nation and our community—together.

VENDOR INFORMATION: Upon completion of this initial registration step, you will be provided detailed forms on rules and regulations for participation. Below is a quick snapshot of some of those details.
We are excited to offer an amazing Saturday event and your participation.
After you complete your registration, the Chamber will be in touch with details of set-up and location.

Types of Booth Options:
Standard Booth (10x10) for Chamber Member Cost $100 | Non-Chamber Member Cost $150
Food Beverage Vendor Booth for Chamber Member Cost $200 | Non-Chamber Member $250
Non-Profit Booth 501 c(3) for Chamber Member $75 | Non-Chamber Member $125
You will be required to specifically detail the products / services or activities your booth will be having.

For details of rules--see below. If you are a food vendor, you have to acquire all required food permits. The Town requires permitting and this takes at least two weeks. Plan accordingly.

EVENT PURPOSE & PARTICIPATION STANDARDS
This event is a community-focused, family-friendly Independence Day celebration. Vendor participation must support a welcoming and respectful environment.

The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny or remove any vendor whose products, messaging, or conduct is inconsistent with the purpose or environment of the event.

BOOTH ASSIGNMENT & PLACEMENT
  • --Booth locations are assigned solely by the Chamber
  • --Assignments are final
  • --Vendors may not relocate or expand beyond their assigned space
  • --Placement disputes will not be addressed on event day
  • --No exclusivity or placement preference is granted

PERMITTED USE OF BOOTH SPACE
--Vendor spaces are licensed solely for approved goods/services purpose/activities listed in this application.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES THE FOLLOWING ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED:
  • --Organized demonstrations, rallies, or protest activity
  • --Aggressive political or advocacy activity that disrupts the event
  • --Use of sound, signage, or behavior intended to provoke or dominate space
  • --Solicitation that interferes with attendees or other vendors
  • --Any conduct inconsistent with a family-friendly public event

VENDOR CONDUCT & EVENT ENVIRONMENT VENDORS MUST:
  • --Maintain a professional, respectful presence
  • --Refrain from aggressive, confrontational, or disruptive behavior
  • --Follow all directions from event staff immediately
  • --Maintain a family-friendly booth environment
The Chamber may require modification or removal of any messaging or display.

ELECTRICITY & UTILITIES
  • --Electricity is limited and not guaranteed
  • --Vendors must provide their own outdoor-rated cords and equipment
  • --Electricity may be shared; cooperation is required
  • --Vendors may not restrict access to shared resources
  • --No water is provided
  • --Generators must be safely operated
The Chamber is not responsible for power issues or vendor disputes.

SHARED RESOURCES & VENDOR COOPERATION
  • --Vendors must cooperate in shared environments
  • --Disputes must be handled by event staff
  • --Direct confrontation between vendors is prohibited

VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES
VENDORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • --All equipment (tents, weights, tables, cords, etc.)
  • --Safe setup and operation
  • --Maintaining a clean booth space
  • --Proper waste disposal
  • --Operating within assigned footprint
  • --Clean-up of their booth area at the close of the event
  • --Meeting all proper requirements (e.g., food permit, insurance, etc.)

SET-UP, EVENT HOURS & TEAR-DOWN
  • --Optional setup the evening prior (at vendor’s own risk)
  • --Setup must be completed by designated event time
  • --Vendors must remain open during event hours
  • --Early teardown is not permitted without approval

SECURITY & PROPERTY
THE CHAMBER DOES NOT PROVIDE SECURITY.
  • --Vendors assume all risk for loss, theft, or damage
  • --This includes overnight setup
  • --Vendors are solely responsible for securing their property

NEW MEXICO REGULATIONS & COMPLIANCE
--All vendors must comply with applicable Town of Silver City, Grant County, State of New Mexico, and federal laws.
--Failure to comply may result in immediate removal without refund.

FOOD VENDORS:
--Must obtain a Temporary Food Establishment Permit through the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED), maintain safe food handling practices, and are subject to inspection.

FIRE SAFETY:
--Vendors using cooking equipment or propane must comply with fire code, maintain proper extinguishers, and pass inspection if required.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY:
--All cords must be outdoor-rated, secured, and free of hazards. Generators must be safely operated.

WASTE DISPOSAL:
--No dumping of grease or wastewater on the ground or into storm drains. All waste must be disposed of properly.

INSURANCE:

VENDORS MAY BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF LIABILITY INSURANCE NAMING:
  • --Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce
  • --Town of Silver City
  • --Grant County
as additional insured.

NM TORT CLAIMS ACT:
Nothing in this agreement waives protections under the New Mexico Tort Claims Act.

VENDOR COMPLIANCE CHECKLIST 
VENDORS MUST CONFIRM COMPLIANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
□ NMED Permit Submitted (if applicable)
□ Fire Safety Requirements Met
□ Waste Disposal Plan
□ Insurance Provided (if required) (Accord form/certificate copy given to Chamber)
□ Electrical Safety Compliance

LICENSE TO PARTICIPATE
Participation constitutes a temporary, revocable license to occupy assigned space.
The Chamber may revoke this license at any time at its sole discretion.

ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY
IMMEDIATE REMOVAL WITHOUT REFUND WILL OCCUR FOR:
  • --Verbal or physical altercations
  • --Harassment or aggressive behavior
  • --Refusal to follow staff direction
  • --Unsafe or disruptive conduct
  • --Violations of event rules or laws

ENFORCEMENT & REMOVAL
THE CHAMBER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DENY PARTICIPATION, SHUT DOWN, OR REMOVE ANY VENDOR AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION.

REASONS MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • --Lack of required permits
  • --Safety violations
  • --Disruptive or aggressive behavior
  • --Conflicts with vendors or staff
  • --Misrepresentation of goods/services
  • --Conduct negatively impacting attendees
No refunds will be issued under any circumstances if a vendor is removed.

LIABILITY AGREEMENT
PARTICIPATION IS VOLUNTARY AND INVOLVES INHERENT RISKS.
VENDOR AGREES TO:
  • --Release and hold harmless the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Town of Silver City, Grant County, and associated parties
  • --Defend, indemnify, and hold harmless these entities from claims arising from vendor operations, products, or conduct

We welcome you to parade participation. Below is a quick snapshot of some of those details.

Public Safety | Schools | Veteran's Groups (no charge) but still have to register

Line up for parade entries are from 8:00AM-8:45AM. The parade starts at 10:00AM. 
After registration, we will be letting you know where you are to report on parade day.

Parade Position & Lineup Authority
Parade lineup and positioning will be determined solely by the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce.
  • --All placement decisions are final
  • --No participant may request or demand a specific position
  • --Lineup disputes will not be addressed on event day
  • --The Chamber may adjust placement at any time for safety or operational needs

Event Purpose & Participation Standards
This parade is a family-friendly civic celebration of Independence Day.
All participants must support a respectful, welcoming environment.
The Chamber reserves the right to deny or remove any entry whose conduct, messaging, or presentation is inconsistent with the purpose of the event.

Permitted Participation
Entries are permitted to:
  • --Celebrate community, heritage, and civic pride
  • --Present themes consistent with the description provided

Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited:
  • --Organized protests, demonstrations, or rally-style activity
  • --Aggressive political or advocacy behavior that disrupts the parade
  • --Messaging or conduct intended to provoke, confront, or dominate
  • --Stopping parade flow for performances or demonstrations (with exceptions)
  • --Entering spectator areas during the parade

Parade Conduct & Movement Requirements
All participants must:
  • --Maintain continuous forward movement (except with for limited performances that should be 2 min or less in pause time and have four or less 4 stop-type performances during the parade)
  • --Keep safe and consistent spacing
  • --Follow all directions from parade officials and law enforcement
  • --Not stop unless directed by officials or for performances as mentioned above
  • --Avoid creating gaps or delays

Distribution of Items
  • --Throwing items is strictly prohibited
  • --Items must be handed directly to spectators
  • --Participants may not enter the crowd

Sound & Messaging Standards
  • --Amplified sound must remain at reasonable levels
  • --Must not disrupt other entries or the event environment
  • --Messaging must remain respectful and appropriate for a public event
--The Chamber may require modification or removal of any display, sound, or messaging.

Vehicle & Safety Requirements
  • --All drivers must be properly licensed
  • --Vehicles must be in safe operating condition
  • --No reckless or erratic driving
  • --Maintain safe speeds at all times

Animal Safety
  • --Animals must be trained and under control
  • --Handlers are responsible at all times
  • --Cleanup is required

Zero-Tolerance Behavior
Immediate removal (without refund) will occur for:
  • --Verbal or physical altercations
  • --Harassment or aggressive behavior
  • --Refusal to follow staff direction
  • --Unsafe or disruptive conduct

Event Authority & Enforcement
The Chamber reserves the right to:
  • --Deny participation
  • --Remove any entry at its sole discretion
  • --Stop or redirect any participant
No refunds will be issued if an entry is removed.

Force Majeure
The event may be modified, delayed, or canceled due to weather, safety concerns, or emergencies.
No refunds will be issued.

Refund Policy
All entry fees are non-refundable.

Legal Terms & Liability
Participant agrees to:
  • --Indemnify and hold harmless the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Town of Silver City, and Grant County
  • --Assume all risks associated with participation
Participation is subject to the New Mexico Tort Claims Act.
Insurance may be required.
